A ‘use in an instant’ complete freeze/thaw stable, high performance PCR master mix containing all the fixed components needed for PCR amplification; a licensed Taq DNA polymerase, dNTP’s, MgCI2 , reaction buffer and a superb enzyme stabiliser.
To set up a PCR, simply thaw MegaMix, aliquot the desired volume and add DNA and primers.

laboratory time and dramatically reduces the risks
of contamination during reagent handling.
MegaMix is also available as a double concentration, particularly useful when using dilute DNA templates or primers.

MegaMix-BLUE
All the benefits of standard MegaMix but with the extra convenience of a blue agarose loading gel, allowing for easy visualisation and accurate small volume pipetting.
The blue dye incorporated into the MegaMix-BLUE does not in any way interfere with the usefulness or the further analysis of PCR products. The dye does NOT inhibit restriction enzymes or ligases and does not flouresce at the wavelengths used by automated DNA sequencers.
MegaMix-BLUE is also available as a double concentration.
MegaMix-W
A Special MegaMix formulation for the Wave® Machine (Transgenomics Inc). Any chemicals found in PCR buffers (eg BSA) can interfere with the performance of the Wave® Machine. MegaMix-W does not contain any such chemicals and gives consistant and good results without further optimisation.
MegaMix-W is also available as a double concentration.
MegaMix-GOLD

Ready to use double concentrated Hot-Start Taq mix with optimised Taq, anti-Taq polymerase monoclonal
antibodies, 400 µM dNTPs, and 6Mm MgCI2 , in buffer with stabiliser. -
The mix only becomes active when the temperature has reached >90°c.

The primers will not form an unspecific bond to incorrect DNA sequence as the temperature ramps upwards.

The primers will not bind with themselves to make a primer-dimer which makes the PCR highly specific and efficient since unwanted products are not made.

There is 2.5 x more Taq polymerase in the mix compared to most standard PCR mixes i.e more Taq is available to make more of the correct PCR product.
MegaMix-GOLD is also available with a ROX reference dye.
MegaMix-ROYAL
The king of the MegaMix castle. Used for muliplex or 'difficult' PCR's, MegaMix-ROYAL has all the benefits of MegaMix-GOLD but with a blue agarose gel loading dye for increased convenience.
MegaMix-ROYAL is also available with microLYSIS®-PLUS as part of LYSE 'N EASY®, for an easier way to get from cells to sequence!
