Tough-Taq
Tough-Taq polymerase is expressed from a 5' deletion of the gene encoding the Thermus Aquaticus
DNA polymerase, resulting in a protein very similar to the Stoffle Fragment. It is a highly active and
extremely heat stable DNA polymerase, repeated exposure to 98°c in the appropriate reaction buffer
does not seem to diminish the enzyme activity. In contrast the full length enzyme will not tolerate such
treatment.
Each kit contains: Tough-Taq 500 or 5000 units, Reaction Buffer Plus (10x), Reaction Buffer Minus (10x),
MgCl2 (1.0M) and Enzyme dilution buffer.

Building Blocks
dNTP (set)
'Ready to use' molecular grade dNTP solutions in a set of four individual nucleotides for use in
DNA polymerisation reactions, DNA labelling and sequencing processes.
Each set comprises separate vials of ultrapure dATP, dCTP, dGTP and dTTP solutions.
Available at either 10mM or 100 mM concentrations.
dNTP (mix)
A premixed 'ready to use' molecular grade dNTP solution comprising 2mM dATP, dCTP, dGTP and dTTP
for use in PCR applications, DNA labelling and DNA sequencing. In a typical 50µl PCR, 5µl of dNTP mix
will give a final concentration of 200µM of each dNTP.
